Monday, March 14th. This supposed to be intervals. 5 minutes warm up, 15 x (45 sec run on high intensity + 15 sec slow walk), cool down at the end. But the result does not look like that! Why do my interval runs always look more like normal run with few toilet pauses? Damn, I have to learn properly how to run intervals.

Tuesday, March 15th. Today I just did some weight training but nothing much.

  • 20 + 10 push ups
  • 2 x 50 crunches with legs on chair
  • 2 x 30 squats with 2kg dumbbell
  • 20 kettlebell swings
  • few circles for my spine

After this training I had awesome salad with baked salmon on garlic and sour cream. So yummy!

Wednesday, March 16th. Today I decided to try the morning run once again. I am going for the first race on Saturday so wanted to try how good/bad my condition was. Well, I ran 5,6 km in 36 mins so it was not that bad. The race on Saturday will be one kilometer longer and more up and down but I believe it is manageable. Tomorrow I will go for training with Lukas and on Friday I will rest. Will see!

Saturday, March 19th. Well, on Thursday I didn’t go for the training because from the morning I felt very bad. For first I had pretty strong depression and for second I felt very tired and had very strong head ache which even two painkiller pills didn’t help. In the end I went home earlier from work and was just resting. I also measured my pressure and found out I had 150/105 which scared me and better took one pressure lowering pill. Fortunately on Friday all was fine again. I have no idea what was wrong with me on Thursday but I was glad it was just one day and then all went to normal.

Anyway, today I went for the first race. I was afraid of it as I din’t train much and also the race was supposed to be up and down few hills. Fortunately it wasn’t that bad and most of the run I kept my normal pace around 6:40 min/km and was really enjoying the race. The worst was the last kilometer where the slope was too steep and I was more crawling than running – I did the last kilometer in 9,43 min/km 😀 But overall I am more than happy that I finished the race and got me my gingerbread medal!

Sunday, March 20th. I really wanted to rest today but my daughter wanted to go to aqua park so we went. We spent three hours there and among others climbed approx million times pretty high tower to toboggan so in the end I really felt my legs hurt. It’s even worse now, few hours later. I reaaaaaally need to rest tomorrow.
